Beware of Personalized Gifts
I regularly explore for creative or unique presents for Christmas. However, if anyone out there thinks that shopping for personalized gifts is like shopping for commonplace presents, please think again. Think hard and think long. I recently purchased one of these, I won’t mention the site because I’m an embroidery digitizer. I make products that the personalized gift vendors sell and incredibly, ! But these guys, who I found using Google, were quick to take my money and customer satisfaction was not in their vocabulary. It turned out that many people were complaining about this store, but since I did not ask around in advance, I didn’t find out until it was too late. It was a hard lesson to learn…my advice is don’t trust a company just because they have a website and ask friends. It’s only your friends who have no vested interest in the decisions you make. Anyways, I digress… The gift I purchased was personalized just for me and not only do you need to buy these things way in advance, some of these people (and I use that temr loosely) they really make you jump thru hoops when there’s a fault.
So, be very cautious about…
1. Give out the correct spelling right from the start and
2. Order far in advance so that a mistate can be fixed. And Oh!..one more..
3. Learn about the customer service staff response BEFORE you order. Good luck!
